In a heartfelt message, Hon. Mba commended the outcome of the selection process, describing it as “a history made with a pristine touch of justice and fair play.” He hailed the transparent conduct of the exercise and lauded all stakeholders involved in ensuring a successful and credible appointment process.

Notably, he paid glowing tribute to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for providing visionary leadership at a crucial moment when an illustrious son of Nsukka land ascended to the highest administrative office in a university located within, and shaped by, the cultural and intellectual heritage of Nsukka.

Prof. Simon Ortuanya, a respected academic and public servant,hail from Ohodo, in Igbo Etiti LGA, was recently announced as the new Vice Chancellor of UNN, following a rigorous and competitive selection process that drew nationwide attention.
