The injured child is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. In addition to this devastating loss, the fire consumed property worth millions of naira, leaving the family in despair.

In response to the incident, the Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Hon. Aka Eze Aka, represented by Onyekachi C. Ugwu, warmly received the General Manager of the Enugu State Emergency Management Agency (ESEMA), Mrs. Chinasa Mbah, and her team to the affected Community. She highlighted Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s resolve to ensuring that the agency is well-equipped to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies across the state.

“This is a heartbreaking event, but we want the Odoh family to know that they are not alone,” Hon. Ugwu remarked. “We will do everything within our capacity to support them during this difficult period.”

The tragic incident has drawn attention to the importance of emergency preparedness and Community solidarity in times of disaster. The combined efforts of the Enugu State Government, ESEMA, and Udenu Local Government highlight a united front in addressing such challenges.
