Preparations have reached an advanced stage in Udenu Local Government Area ahead of the grand endorsement rally being hosted in honour of the Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, by the people of Enugu North Senatorial Zone on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Nsukka Township Stadium.
The people of Udenu are expected to turn out in large numbers for what is being described as a historic gathering of solidarity and support, as stakeholders across the Local Government intensify mobilization efforts to ensure a colourful and memorable reception for the Governor.
At the forefront of the preparations is the Chairman of Udenu Local Government Council, Aka Eze Aka, who has been working round-the-clock coordinating arrangements for Udenu’s participation in the mega rally. Sources within the Council indicate that the Chairman has been holding strategic engagements and mobilization meetings aimed at ensuring that every ward in Udenu is fully represented at the event.

The Council Chairman is said to be working in close synergy with his SPA on Political Matters, Maduka Abonyi, alongside the Secretary to the Local Government and other Aides and Appointees, to galvanize support groups, political structures, traditional institutions, Market Associations, Youth and Women organizations for what promises to be a massive outing.
The mobilization drive, according to observers, reflects Udenu’s commitment to joining the wider people of the Senatorial Zone in endorsing Governor Mbah for a second term, in recognition of what many have described as his transformative strides in governance, infrastructure, education, healthcare and security.
Across Communities in Udenu, there is growing enthusiasm as stakeholders continue consultations and grassroots sensitization ahead of the rally. Banners, public announcements and stakeholder engagements have heightened awareness, while various support groups are fine-tuning logistics for movement to the venue.
Council officials say the planned outing is not only about attendance, but about making a bold statement of support and solidarity with the Governor’s development vision for the State.
