As Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, marks its 25th Anniversary this May, goodwill messages have continued to pour in from across the country, celebrating the institution’s transformative journey and impact in the Nigerian academic landscape. Chimezie Felix Mbah, the Special Assistant on Rural and Urban Development to the Executive Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Enugu State.

Uli main Campus of the University
Established in 2000 under Law No. 13 by the Anambra State Government, COOU has evolved from a modest two-campus structure—originally situated in Uli and Igbariam—to become a distinguished citadel of higher learning. From inheriting the assets and liabilities of the former Ekwenugo Okeke Polytechnic and College of Agriculture, the institution has grown into a respected academic hub, producing graduates who are excelling in various fields both within and outside the country.

The upcoming Silver Jubilee celebration, themed “COOU @25: Advancing Partnerships for Global Impacts”, is scheduled to take place from May 15th to 25th, 2025. The ten-day celebration includes a lineup of activities such as a Vice-Chancellor’s Press Conference, Silver Jubilee Road Walk, Homecoming, Founders’ Day, Alumni Dinner, Convocation ceremonies, and more.

Mbah brings over 17 years of industry experience, having served in senior management roles across top commercial and corporate banking institutions in Lagos.
