Aka Eze Aka, the Udenu Council Mayor, is still reinforcing his commitment to educational advancement in Udenu Local Government Area, as he is sponsoring over 130 teachers from Udenu to participate in the prestigious Teachers’ Training 2025 scheduled to hold tomorrow, 13th May, 2025, at Fiestos Hotel, Enugu State.
This initiative is part of the widely acclaimed Teachers’ Empowerment Program: “Learning Without Limit,” a transformative training experience facilitated by globally recognized education experts including Noel Ifeanyi Alumona, Alison Milofsky (Ph.D.), Maxwell Thurston, and Uma Uche Gabriel. The program, powered by The People’s Project and HOPE for African Children, aims to equip teachers with practical, inclusive, and effective classroom techniques for the 21st-century Learner.
True to his campaign pledge to invest in human capital development across every sector, Aka Eze’s sponsorship of this capacity-building exercise marks yet another positive effort in his grassroots leadership agenda. By ensuring that Udenu Educators benefit from such high-level international exposure, he is not only promoting professional growth among teachers but also laying a solid foundation for improved student learning outcomes.
Recall: that on Thursday 9th January (four months ago) the Chairman met with the leadership of the Nigerian Union Of Teachers (NUT), Udenu Chapter, who paid him a courtesy visit, and he promised them that his administration will give attention to their needs. On February 15, he provided them with teaching aids, and tomorrow, he will be making another leap in furtherance of the the same direction.
Capacity-building sessions like these are critical in an era where teaching methodologies must evolve to meet global standards, in line with Governor Peter Mbah’s policy on education when we began the Smart School initiatives. With resource persons who bring a wealth of international experience and innovative strategies, Udenu teachers will gain vital skills in inclusive education, emotional intelligence, learner engagement, and modern pedagogy. The ripple effect of this initiative will undoubtedly enhance the quality of education in public and private schools across the LGA.
As the training kicks off tomorrow at 10:00 AM, the people of Udenu stand as proud beneficiaries of a Chairman who delivers on his promises — not just with words, but with impactful action.
Education is the passport to the future, and Aka Eze Aka is giving Udenu the visa.
