In a gesture of solidarity and commitment to the progress of Obollo land, the United Diamonds of Obollo (UDO) —a prestigious sociocultural organization comprising prominent men dedicated to the peace, progress, and development of the area—paid a courtesy and advocacy visit to the Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Aka Eze Aka.
The delegation, led by the Association’s Chairman, Dr. Marcus Nnaji, reaffirmed their readiness to collaborate with the Chairman in advancing the developmental agenda of the administration. Dr. Nnaji emphasized the Association’s over three decades of active existence and its consistency in fostering unity and progress in Obollo.
Aka, warmly received the delegation in his office and expressed his gratitude for their visit. Reflecting on the legendary contributions of the Association to the Community, he praised their continued dedication to the betterment of Obollo land. The Chairman also used the occasion to highlight some key achievements of his administration within these two months of assumption of office, which include:
— The ongoing construction of the 700-meter Ozo ji-UkwuAkpu Obollo Afor link road.
— The building of new lock-up stalls at Ozo Okuko to enhance local commerce.
— The establishment of the Maryland Economic City to decongest the Obollo Afor Market and boost economic activities.

He assured the delegation of his commitment to executing sustainable projects aimed at improving the living standards of the people of Udenu and beyond.
In recognition of his exceptional performance within the first two months of his administration, UDO presented him with a prestigious merit award. The award, according to Dr. Nnaji, symbolizes the Association’s acknowledgment of the Chairman’s dedication and tangible achievements in such a short period.
The visit underscores the strong partnership between the Association and the Udenu Local Government administration, with both parties reaffirming their shared vision of a prosperous and united Obollo land.
