Udenu Local Government Area witnessed a significant visit as a delegation from Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, Udenu Chapter, paid a courtesy call on the Executive Chairman, Hon. Aka Eze Aka, in his office. The visit, which underscores the importance of collaboration and goodwill in governance, was led by the Chapter Chairman, Hon. Sir Christopher Okanya KSJI.
In his address, Hon. Sir Okanya commended the Chairman for his innovative approach to governance and lauded the strides he has made in laying a solid foundation for progress in Udenu. The delegation pledged their unwavering support for the administration, expressing hope for a fruitful collaboration that would bring about sustainable development and unity in the region.
The thirteen-member delegation comprised prominent members of the chapter, including Chief Romanus Emeka Nnadi, Aruma Silvester, and Jonas Ugwueze, among others. Their visit was marked by a strong show of solidarity and commitment to the peace, unity, and progress of Udenu.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Chairman, the Secretary to the Local Government, Rt. Hon. Chika Aroh, expressed deep gratitude for the goodwill extended by the organization. He acknowledged the critical role Ohaneze Ndi Igbo plays in promoting sociocultural harmony and assured them of the administration’s readiness to work hand in hand with the organization to achieve shared goals.
Rt. Hon. Aroh further called on the group to remain steadfast in championing the unity and progress of the local government area through their activities. He emphasized that their support would be instrumental in driving initiatives that benefit the people of Udenu and beyond.
Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, a renowned pan-Igbo sociocultural organization established in the early 1976 continues to be a vital platform for fostering unity and advancing the interests of the Igbo people both at home and in diaspora. The organization’s visit to the Udenu LGA Chairman reflects its commitment to grassroots engagement and constructive partnerships with local authorities.
