The Vice Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Antonia Onyinye Odoh, has commended the Udenu Traditional Rulers Council for their outstanding leadership roles in fostering unity and progress across their communities. She emphasized the need for sustained efforts towards creating an egalitarian society built on mutual harmony, love, and development.
Hon. Mrs. Odoh delivered these remarks yesterday during the monthly General Meeting of the Udenu Traditional Rulers Council, held at the Local Government Secretariat in Obollo-Afor. Representing the Council Chairman, Hon. Aka Eze Aka, She conveyed the administration’s deep appreciation for the pivotal role traditional leaders play in Community governance and development.
“I am impressed by the commitment and dedication of our traditional rulers in steering the affairs of their Communities with wisdom and foresight. Your collective efforts have been instrumental in maintaining peace and fostering progress,” Hon. Odoh stated.
She further encouraged the Council to remain steadfast in their mission to promote an inclusive society where fairness and mutual respect prevail. Highlighting the critical role traditional rulers play in grassroots development, she assured them of their administration’s support in their endeavors.
The meeting was attended by 21 out of the 27 Traditional Rulers that constitute the Udenu Traditional Rulers Council. Among them was the Council Chairman, His Royal Highness Igwe Patrick Eze (Waziri), the Ezeoha of Egari Kingdom.
Igwe Patrick Eze, in his remarks, acknowledged the support and recognition from the Local Government and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to ensuring peace, unity, and progress in Udenu. He also called for continued collaboration between traditional institutions and the government to address the challenges facing their Communities.
The meeting served as a platform for the Council to deliberate on pressing issues affecting their communities and strategize ways to enhance development at the grassroots level.
The Udenu Traditional Rulers Council has been a cornerstone in promoting cultural heritage, resolving disputes, and fostering Communal harmony within the Local Government Area. Their contributions have garnered widespread recognition, with many attributing stability and progress in the Area to their leadership and vision.
