The Executive Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Aka Eze Aka, has extended his warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Community in Udenu LGA and beyond as they mark the joyous occasion of Eid-El Fitri.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Aka, commended the Muslim faithful for their devotion, discipline, and acts of charity exhibited throughout the holy month of Ramadan. He described the festival as a celebration of sacrifice, kindness, unity, and faith—virtues that strengthen communal harmony and peaceful coexistence.
“Eid-El Fitri signifies the completion of the sacred month of Ramadan, which is marked by self-discipline, devotion, and charity. As you gather with family and friends to celebrate, may the lessons of Ramadan—love, patience, and generosity—continue to guide your actions and interactions,” the Chairman stated.
Aka Eze emphasized his administration’s commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and inclusiveness among all religious and ethnic groups within Udenu Local Government Area. According to him, the diversity of the people in Udenu LGA remains a source of strength, unity, and progress.
He also called on the Muslim community to continue praying for peace, unity, and prosperity in Udenu and the nation at large, urging them to sustain the virtues of Ramadan beyond the period of celebration.
“Udenu LGA remains committed to promoting peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and inclusiveness among all religious and ethnic groups within our dear Local Government. I urge you to continue to pray for the peace, unity, and prosperity of our land,” he appealed.
The Chairman concluded his message with a warm wish for a joyful and fulfilling celebration. “May this Eid bring joy, peace, and fulfillment to you and your families. Eid Mubarak!” he concluded.
Aka’s message of goodwill comes as Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-El Fitri, marking the end of Ramadan, a month dedicated to fasting, prayer, and reflection.
The gesture by the Udenu LGA Chairman has been lauded by residents as a demonstration of his commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and harmonious coexistence among all religious groups within the Local Government Area.
Udenu LGA, located in the Enugu North Senatorial Zone of Enugu State, is known as Gateway to the North, and has the culture of peaceful and diverse population, with the administration of Hon. Aka Eze Aka consistently promoting initiatives aimed at enhancing social cohesion and development. He appointed a northern Muslim, HRH, Z.I Babangida, as Special Assistant (SSA) on Non-Indigenes.
