A high-powered delegation led by the Vice-chancellor of the University of Nigeria Professor Simeon Uchenna Ortuanya is currently in Asia increasing the University’s Visibility and deepening the Institutions global reckoning.
The global repositioning of the University took the mercurial Vice Chancellor to the Ming Chuan University Taepei Campus where he held meetings of Collaboration and partnership including exchange programmes with the University Authority.
Key fall out from the recent global engagement is the signing and Exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding for the establishment of Taiwan Center For Academic Exchanges at UNN with the Taiwanese Foreign Affairs Minister (Africa and Asia).
The establishment of a Taiwan Centre for Academic Exchanges at UNN would lead to gains such as enhanced collaboration in areas like IT and research, increased internationalization through student and faculty exchanges, and improved student support through access to scholarships, Mandarin courses, and cultural immersion programs. It could also promote academic quality through joint research and the adoption of Taiwanese pedagogical and research models.
