Norbert Chizoba Abah; women leaders; and the Traditional Ruler of the community, HRH Igwe Matthew Agbo.
Speaker after speaker emphasized the need for proactive measures to curb crime. The meeting resolved to establish a local vigilante group to work closely with security agencies in crime prevention and response.
Following the engagement, the Chairman paid a condolence visit to the family of the Late Mr. Ozobiar’ Onuh, one of the victims of last week’s attack, at Umuosogwu Village, Obollo Nkwo. He prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul, comfort for the bereaved family, and assured them of the Council’s commitment to round-the-clock security in the area under the new arrangement.
The family were appreciative of the Chairman for his humility and empathy, and thanked him for identifying in person with them in this trying moment.
