The Tomorrow Is Here Movement (THM)—a strategic support initiative geared towards deepening the Governor’s vision of innovation, good governance, and people-centered development—was officially inaugurated in Udenu Local Government Area.

The event, which took place yesterday at Park 1, Obollo-Afor, witnessed an impressive turnout of party faithful, Community leaders, youth and women stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters from across the LGA. It formed part of the larger rollout of the Movement across all 17 Local Government Areas of Enugu State, aimed at consolidating grassroots backing for the “Tomorrow is Here” mantra.

Speaking at the well-attended ceremony, the State Leader of the Movement and SPA to the Governor on Youth Mobilization and Empowerment, Hon. Jude Amunabor, described the initiative as a people-driven platform to sustain and accelerate the developmental strides of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.

The highlight of the ceremony was the formal inauguration of the Udenu Chapter of the Movement, with Barr. Brendan Odo installed as the Local Government Coordinator. Barr. Odo, a seasoned legal practitioner and grassroots mobilizer, was hailed by attendees as a fitting choice to lead the charge in advancing the goals of the Movement in Udenu.

The event was organized at the auspices of the Executive Chairman of Udenu LGA, Aka Eze Aka, through the Office of the SPA to the Chairman on Political Matters, Hon. Maduka Abonyi. Though unavoidably absent due to the bereavement of his elder brother, the Chairman was duly represented by Hon. Abonyi, who conveyed his goodwill message and reaffirmed the Council’s support for the Governor’s vision.

Also in attendance at the inauguration were the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Udenu, Hon. Meletus Onah, key youth and women leaders, traditional stakeholders, and members of the political class, all of whom expressed strong solidarity with the Governor’s vision.

The massive turnout at the event underscored the growing popularity of the Mbah-led administration, especially among grassroots constituents who have begun to witness tangible dividends of democracy across the state.

With Udenu now fully integrated into the Tomorrow Is Here Movement, the people have joined their voices to the chorus of transformation sweeping across Enugu State—demonstrating their resolve to stand behind Governor Peter Mbah’s historic leadership.

As the Movement continues its rollout across the state, political observers say it may become a cornerstone for grassroots policy advocacy, public enlightenment, and sustained civic engagement throughout the tenure of the current administration.
