A high-powered delegation of Ndi Oha Iheakpu Obollo Afor, led by esteemed Academic and Community Leader — Prof. Fred Eze, alongside their revered Traditional Ruler, His Royal Highness Igwe Innocent Ogbu (Okeiyi 1 of Iheakpu), paid a courtesy and advocacy visit to the Executive Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Aka Eze Aka, at the Council’s Secretariat in Obollo Afor.
The delegation, which comprised eleven other prominent members of the Iheakpu General Assembly, came with a firm message: to formally dissociate themselves from the actions and statements of their son, the ousted Leader of the Udenu Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Dr. Nnamdi Odo.
Addressing the Chairman, the delegation clarified that the actions of Dr. Odo in his recent rift with fellow Councilors, which led to his impeachment, were personal and did not reflect the collective stance of the Iheakpu Obollo Afor Community. They expressed deep regret over his conduct and emphasized that his controversial Press Conference—where he made unsubstantiated allegations against the Chairman—was entirely unfounded.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Prof. Fred Eze declared their support for the leadership of Aka Eze Aka, describing his administration as transparent and people-oriented.

Prof. Eze addressing the Chairman
“We are here to set the record straight. The statements made by Dr. Nnamdi Odo do not represent the position of Ndi Oha Iheakpu Obollo Afor. We, as a Community, acknowledge and appreciate your commitment to good governance, and we assure you of our purposeful support,” Prof. Eze stated.
HRH Igwe Innocent Ogbu, in his remarks, reaffirmed the Community’s stance, stressing that unity and peace remain the bedrock of development in Udenu. He urged the Chairman to remain focused on his progressive agenda for the Local Government.
In response, the Udenu Council Chairman, Aka Eze, warmly welcomed the delegation and commended their resolve to uphold the truth. He used the opportunity to give a detailed account of his transparent leadership and the cordial relationship he had always maintained with members of the Udenu Legislative Council.

“I have always believed in fairness, accountability, and collective progress. The unfortunate events surrounding Dr. Odo’s impeachment were the result of legislative processes, and it is reassuring to know that the people of Iheakpu Obollo Afor stand for the truth. My government remains committed to serving all communities in Udenu with equity and justice,” the Chairman stated.
He further explained that, contrary to Dr. Odo’s claims, he had always extended brotherly love to him, emphasizing that leadership should be about service rather than personal ambition.
The meeting was attended by top Local Government officials, including the Chief of Staff, Dr. Jude Ukwueze; Secretary to the Local Government, Rt. Hon. Chika Aroh; and Onyekachi C. Ugwu, among others.
The visit, which was marked by mutual respect and commitment to unity, ended on a positive note, with both parties affirming their dedication to peace and development in Udenu.
