FROM UDENU TO THE WORLD: The Digital Uprising Led by Aka Eze Aka

Something extraordinary is taking root in Udenu Local Government Area, a new chapter of hope, driven by empirical innovation, tilted towards youth empowerment is germinating in our land. With the launch of Udenu Youth Technology Skill Development Project, the Chairman, Aka Eze Aka, has once again proved that leadership is about opening doors, especially for the next generation.

This initiative, targeted at unemployed and out-of-school youths aged 16 to 30, aims to equip participants with 21st-century digital skills such as Digital Marketing, Web Development, and UI/UX Product Design. But more than just another training program, this project is a declaration, that the days of underutilized youth potential in Udenu are numbered, and that a digital revolution is coming.

The Center, managed by igHubs Ltd, is strategically located along Ogwu Road, Obollo Afor, sharing a fence with Central School Obollo Afor, making it highly accessible to the local population. It is also projected to be transformed into a CBT center for writing JAMB and other Professional Exams in a couple of months.

For Aka Eze, this project is not a flash in the pan. It is a calculated, purpose-driven intervention, designed to tackle the most pressing issue facing young people today, which is unemployment. He understands, as Nelson Mandela once said, that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” And in today’s world, digital skills are the new literacy.

This is why the program is structured into two powerful phases: three months of intensive digital training, followed by three months of internship and job placement support. The goal is simple: not just to train, but to transition participants from learning to earning.

The criteria are straightforward and strategic: only youths who are ready to fully commit for six months, and who are not currently in school, are eligible. This ensures that the beneficiaries are focused, and ready to change their lives.

Anyone who has followed Aka’s administrative trajectory would recognize his ideological and developmental alignment with the Enugu State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. Just like Mbah, who has set Enugu State on a trajectory of disruptive innovation through initiatives like the 260 smart schools and 260 Type II healthcare centres across all political wards, Aka is translating that vision to the grassroots.

As Dr. Peter Mbah often notes, “We must equip our people not just with infrastructure, but with the tools to innovate, to create, and to compete globally.” Aka echoes this daily through people-centred policies and initiatives.

While many politicians merely parade slogans, Aka is redefining leadership by building platforms.
This initiative is about creating a pipeline of opportunities where a young man in Imilike, or a young woman in Ogbodu Aba, can dream big and build globally relevant solutions, from the comfort of Udenu.

It looks like Aka places the portrait of Ralph Waldo Emerson in front of his door always: “do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

He is not walking in the footsteps of others. He is blazing a trail. With the establishment of this Innovation Center, he has created a hub where technology meets talent, and where local aspirations connect with global trends.

Aka knows that building roads, markets, and hospitals are important, but they are not enough. Without skilled people to manage and optimize those assets, development remains fragile.

This youth technology project is his way of turning latent potential into kinetic impact.
An anonymous Chinese adage had it that “the wealth of a nation lies not in its banks, but in the brains of its youth.”

To every eligible young person in Udenu, this is your moment. It is an invitation to build a new future with your own hands. Go to https://udenu.ighub.ng/apply, take that step, and invest in yourself. Your tomorrow begins today — and your Chairman, Aka Eze Aka, is betting on you. By aligning with Governor Peter Mbah’s transformative vision, he is localizing a state-wide revolution.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader” says John Quincy Adams. Aka is not just leading Udenu; he is lifting it.
