College Park Garden, a proposed residential development comprising 500 housing units, has been unveiled at the renowned Enugu Lifestyle and Golf City, also known as Centenary City, with prospective buyers offered mortgage financing options.
The development is targeting working-class professionals, families, business owners, property investors and Nigerians in the diaspora seeking residential property in Enugu.

Construction works ongoing already at the sites
At the unveiling, the Managing Director of the Enugu State Geographic Information System (ENGIS), Mr Chinwetalu Nwatu, reportedly assured prospective buyers that successful off-takers would receive Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) for their apartments.
The assurance, if confirmed in the applicable documentation, could be an important consideration for prospective buyers assessing property ownership and investment risks.

College Park Garden lists its two-bedroom apartments at ₦38 million and three-bedroom apartments at ₦45 million, offering buyers different accommodation options at specified price points.
Representatives of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and AG Mortgage Bank reportedly discussed housing finance options available to eligible applicants, including civil servants, professionals, business owners and Nigerians in the diaspora.
According to information provided at the event, qualified applicants could access mortgage facilities exceeding ₦100 million, subject to their income, creditworthiness, repayment capacity and the lending institutions’ requirements.
Prospective buyers were encouraged to explore mortgage financing as an alternative to funding property acquisitions entirely from personal savings.

Prototype of the proposed designs for each unit
The development is situated within Enugu Lifestyle and Golf City, a residential, commercial and recreational project established through a partnership between Private Estates International West Africa Limited and the Enugu State Government. The wider project was conceived to support urban expansion and economic development in Enugu State.
The proposed housing development comes amid continuing demand for residential accommodation and financing options in Nigeria’s property market. However, the affordability of individual units will depend on buyers’ incomes, available financing, interest rates and repayment obligations.

The project could also create business opportunities for construction workers, building materials suppliers, artisans and other service providers, depending on the scale and pace of implementation.
Prospective buyers are advised to independently verify the property’s title, applicable planning and building approvals, the terms of any Certificate of Occupancy, payment schedules, mortgage conditions and completion timelines before making financial commitments.
