The much-anticipated Peter Mbah—Udenu Football League, an initiative of the Executive Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Hon. The opening ceremony was a blend of sporting elegance and cultural pageantry, drawing a massive crowd of football enthusiasts, Local Government Officials, and prominent figures in the society.

The tournament, aimed at unearthing raw football talents and providing a platform for budding players to showcase their skills on a grand stage, witnessed a vibrant display of talent and enthusiasm from participating teams and spectators alike. It will also feature a lucrative prize pool designed to motivate players to showcase their best performances. The ultimate champions will walk away with a cash prize of ₦1 million, while the first and second runners-up will receive ₦700,000 and ₦500,000 respectively. Additionally, individual brilliance will be rewarded, with ₦50,000 set aside for the Best Goalkeeper, Best Player of the Tournament, and Highest Goal Scorer, while the Best Coach will pocket ₦100,000. The Man of the Match for each game will also receive a ₦10,000 cash prize.
