The Senator representing Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti has been stopped from travelling out of Nigeria.
The Concourse Media reports that the female lawmaker made the revelation Tuesday morning.
She alleged that her international passport has been withheld, thereby preventing her from travelling.
In a live Facebook broadcast on Tuesday morning, she said: “having completed the celebration of my second year, I decided to take a week off and my passport is being withheld again. The same thing has happened.
“I have committed no offense and there is no order from the court to seize my passport and deny me traveling.
“The last time it happened, the officer in-charge told us that the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio instructed them to withhold my passport and prevent me from traveling”.
The Concourse Media reports that at the peak of the crisis involving the lawmaker and Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, she was stopped from boarding an airplane at the Abuja airport.
The matter was later resolved.
