HAPPY NEW MONTH UDENU – TEARS OF JOY By Harrison Odinaka Ezeobollo

My dear people of Udenu,

Happy New Month to you all.

Today, I write with *tears of joy* in my eyes as I remember the early days of Aka Eze Aka’s administration as our Local Government Chairman.

There was criticism. There were doubts. There were attacks.

Not because our people did not know that Aka is a good man. Not because they did not know he was equal to the task. Not because he was a wrong choice.

But because some believed he was too young in politics. Some said he was not from the “political class.” Some felt his camp was not the right one. Others disagreed with his Choice of political appointees

Every good thing he did, people searched for faults. Social media became a battlefield. Some attacks, I strongly believe, were sponsored.

But today… I remember those days with tears of joy.

Not because I doubted him. Not because I was unsure. But because he exceeded even my expectations.

Today, Udenu has seen that supporting Aka Eze Aka was the right decision.

The same platforms that once thrived on attacking him have grown silent, because there is simply no ground left to attack him from.

Before now, everyone wanted to display media strength. But today, the hardest job in Udenu politics is being anti-Aka. You simply cannot attack Aka Eze Aka in Udenu today without sounding unreasonable and senseless or even stupid.

When his media team announced plans to open 10 boreholes across the 10 political wards, critics said it was impossible.

Yesterday, history spoke.

Six boreholes were commissioned. The remaining four are under construction.

Promise made. Promise kept.

During the commissioning, I shed “Tears of Joy” because truly:

“Onu kwuru njọ na-ekwuzi mma.”
The same mouth that once spoke evil now speaks good.

This is a lesson to all of us.

“Mmadu egbuna Onye Chi ya na egburo.”
No one can destroy a person whom God has chosen.

As we step into this new month, may development continue in Udenu. May unity replace division. May progress silence doubt. May God continue to guide and strengthen Aka Eze Aka.

Thank you, Aka Eze Aka, for proving that leadership is about service, not noise.

Happy New Month, Udenu. Greater days are ahead.
