The official inauguration of the Progressives Movement for Peter Mbah (PM4PM) was successfully held today at the Dome, International Conference Centre, Enugu, at about 11:00 AM local time.

The Movement has rapidly evolved into one of the most formidable grassroots coalitions in Enugu State, uniting enthusiastic citizens who are deeply committed to promoting the policies, vision, and achievements of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. This growing momentum is anchored on the Governor’s development philosophy, aptly captured in the widely embraced mantra: “Tomorrow is Here.”

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Secretary to the State Government, Chidiebere Onyia, and witnessed an impressive turnout of key stakeholders, political office holders, and Local Government Chairmen from across the State. Notable attendees included the SPA on Special Duties, Hon. Mrs. Mabel Agbo, and the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Hon. Enyinnaya Franklin, among others.

In his speech, Prof. Onyia charged the members to take their terms of reference seriously, as a sacred bond, because Gov. Mbah is consciously and fastly fulfilling his campaign manifestos to the letter, and the people need to be abreast of it.

In their goodwill messages and commitment statements, stakeholders expressed support for the Movement, pledging to align with its vision and operational philosophy in advancing the administration’s development agenda.

PM4PM boasts a robust presence across all 260 political wards in Enugu State, with fully established structures at both Local Government and Ward levels. Leaders and Executives from these various chapters converged in Enugu for the formal launch, reflecting the Movement’s extensive grassroots reach and organizational strength.

Speakers at the event demonstrated strong enthusiasm and resolve to take the message of Governor Mbah’s transformative governance to the hinterlands, ensuring that no community is left behind in the State’s development journey. Beyond mobilizing support, the Movement is designed to serve as a vital bridge between government and the people, facilitating feedback, strengthening trust, and promoting participatory governance.

With its well-coordinated structure spanning communities, wards, development centres, and senatorial zones, PM4PM represents a bold step in organized citizen engagement.

As PM4PM formally takes off across the State, expectations are high that it will further galvanize public support and accelerate the dissemination of the administration’s development initiatives to every corner of Enugu State.
