Away From Water Boreholes and Road Projects, @⁨Aka Eze Eze Aka⁩ is set to launch a comprehensive advanced ICT Training for Udenu Youths who are already computer literate.

This is coming on the heels of the refurbishing and revamping of the looted Udenu ICT & INNOVATION HUB, Obollo Afor built by the Enugu State Government under Dr Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

The Hub which was designed to become the ICT and innovation crystallization centre was literally abandoned and vandalized prior to the coming of Aka Eze Aka.

Upon assumption of office, the Chairman undertook an assessment tour of the center, where he was greeted by evidence of looting and vandalization. He quickly escalated the development to the State Government through the Commissioner for Science and Technology who immediately swung into action, (arresting some suspects.

Concerned that such a worthwhile project was not put to use and at the mercy of looters, the Aka Eze Aka’s administration quickly applied to formerly take over the facility, revamp and put it to use for the benefit of our people.

With the State Government graciously giving approval, the administration sought for a high profile ICT Firm based in Portharcourt and gave them the charge to bring back the place to high functionality, design programmes and contents that would make Udenu the destination and next silicon valley in Enugu State.

The firm, IGHub Nigeria Limited did not fail in its mandate, bringing back the dead place to life and readying it for commencement of trainings and Computer Based Tests for students and professionals.

Having done this, the Administration went into advertisement and recruitment drive across the ten wards, targeting only those who are computer literate. These first beneficiaries numbering over 30 will be trained at the behest of the council for a period of six months.

They will therefore enjoy a practical hands-on ICT and Computer Training during which they will acquire the skills for today and the future to enable them compete with their contemporaries in the age of the digital economy.

The UDENU ICT HUB is set for opening on the 15th September, 2025.

Those shortlisted will be onboarded for an orientation class and immediate commencement of training.
