The Chairman of Udenu Local Government Area, Aka Eze Aka, has confirmed the appointment of two more principal officers for his administration with the official designation of two prominent political figures as Special Advisers SPAs.
Chief Basil Obetta from Imilike Ward has been elevated from Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Political Matters to Special Adviser (SPA) on Project Implementations, while Chief Maduka Abonyi from Obollo Etiti Ward has been appointed as the Special Adviser (SPA) on Political Matters. Their appointments were formally confirmed yesterday by Aka Eze at the Udenu LGA Secretariat, following a meticulous selection process aimed at enhancing the performance and effectiveness of the administration.
The appointments of Chief Obetta and Chief Abonyi are expected to bring strategic expertise and robust advisory capacity to the Chairman’s administration. Chief Obetta, a respected Community Leader and development enthusiast, will oversee project implementations across the Local Government Area. His role will focus on monitoring ongoing projects, ensuring timely execution, and providing recommendations for improved efficiency and quality in project delivery.

The confirmation of these appointments comes just a day after the swearing-in of five Supervisors, signaling the administration’s readiness to get it right spot-on. “With these appointments, we have now fully constituted our executive team. I am confident that our new Special Advisers, alongside the Supervisors, will work diligently to advance the interests of Udenu Local Government Area. Our focus remains on delivering quality services to our people and ensuring sustainable development across all wards,” the Chairman stated.
Chief Obetta and Chief Abonyi both expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and pledged to work towards achieving the administration’s objectives.
