Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial Zone, Barr Okey Ezea has been reported dead.
NATIONAL POST reports that the Senator was said to have passed on Tuesday.
It was gathered that he was in the United Kingdom receiving treatment before his unfortunate demise.
A popular social media user, Senator Chijinkem Ugwuanyi broke the news on his Facebook page.
He wrote: “Sad News
Senator Okey Ezea Representing Enugu North Is Dead…
Rest in Peace.”
A source, who spoke under anonymity, disclosed that Ezea was earlier treated in Germany.
Although details of his demise are still sketchy, reactions are already trailing the news on various social media platforms.
Popularly known as Ideke, Ezea is the only remaining member of the Labour Party National Assembly member from Enugu State.
The other lawmakers have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
