Ndi Udenu, De’ejen’

Today, we join the global community in commemorating World HIV/AIDS Day, a moment to reflect on the progress made and the work still ahead in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

This year’s theme: “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right!” emphasizes the critical role of human rights in addressing HIV/AIDS, focusing on the elimination of stigma, discrimination, and punitive laws that hinder access to HIV services. It also reminds us of the importance of solidarity and action in creating a future free from stigma, discrimination, and new infections. As a Community, we must prioritize awareness, support those living with HIV, and ensure access to testing and treatment for all.

I urge everyone to embrace prevention measures, get tested, and educate others about this fight. Together, we can build a healthier Udenu where no one is left behind.

Let us stand united in hope, compassion, and commitment to ending HIV/AIDS in our generation.

Thank you, and may we continue to thrive as one community.
