RE: Commendation for the Flag Off of the Dualization of Opi Nsukka – Ugwuogo Nike – Enugu Road
On behalf of the entire people of Udenu Local Government Area, I extend a heartfelt commendation to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for the successful flag-off of the dualization of the Opi Nsukka—Ugwuogo Nike—Enugu Road, which took place today 28th October, 2024. This monumental project represents a significant stride towards advancing the infrastructure and economic prosperity of the Enugu North Senatorial Zone, with special emphasis on the highly enterprising people of Udenu Local Government Area.
This Road network is a critical artery that facilitates movement and trade within our Zone, thus its dualization will not only enhance the accessibility of our communities but will also serve as a catalyst for economic development, attracting investments, and fostering local businesses. Improved road infrastructure is essential for boosting agricultural potentials of the agrarian sections of our communities. It will ensure that our local entrepreneurs thrive by connecting them more effectively to larger economic hubs.
This initiative aligns perfectly with Governor Mbah’s vision for infrastructural development and economic revitalization, promoting sustainable growth that will benefit present and future generations. It will also significantly reduce travel times, enhance safety for commuters, and improve vehicular movement, thus ensuring the well-being of our citizens and the efficient transport of goods.
As the Chairman of Udenu LGA, I am particularly excited about the prospects that this dualized road will bring to our local economy. The move will undoubtedly create job opportunities for our youth, invigorate our markets, and create a more interconnected community, fostering collaboration among businesses and residents alike.
I applaud the governor, our leader, Dr. Mbah for his love for the people of Nsukka Zone and his undeniable commitment to developing vital infrastructure and prioritizing projects that address the needs of our communities.
We look forward to the timely execution of this project and the many positive impacts it will bring to our region.
